Next Leicester City manager: David Moyes tells talkSPORT he is ‘mad keen’ for next job if right opportunity comes along
David Moyes has told talkSPORT he is ready to get back into management if the right opportunity comes along.Moyes was asked if he would consider the Leicester City job following the sacking of Claude Puel, and was open minded when speaking about the prospect of taking over the Foxes.The 55-year-old left West Ham at the end of last season after his contract wasn’t extended – a decision he felt wasn’t vindicated.2

Moyes has plenty of Premier League managerial experience in his locker after more than a decade with Everton, followed by an unsuccessful 10 month stint in charge of Manchester United.Speaking to talkSPORT on Sunday, he said: Im mad keen to get back in (to management).After West Ham last year it really whet my appetite because we felt we did a really good job with what was available to us and I really enjoyed it.If the right opportunity comes along to us then Im ready to go.”2

Moyes thought Puel was unlucky not to get more time to turn around the Foxes’ fortune after he was axed on Sunday following their 4-1 defeat at Crystal Palace.When you take a job in football you cant really ask for time,” he explained.“When I first went into a job I used to say I hope I get the time.I dont think you can use those words anymore, I think you have to earn it. You have to earn the opportunity of getting time by getting results and having good performances.I think hes been a bit unlucky at times, I really do.“His results havent been that bad, in recent weeks they havent been that great but those things in football can turn and they can happen very, very quickly.Puel, who was at the King Power Stadium for 16 months, leaves the club 12th in the Premier League having lost five of their last six league games.
