Rodgers has moved south of the border having quit as Celtic manager last week to take charge of Premier League side Leicester. However, his wife Charlotte and her daughter, Lola, six, were asleep in the house and woke to voices at around 1am on Wednesday morning. They later barricaded themselves in a bathroom, according to Sky Sports, after the intruders entered the bedroom they were in.A number of items were stolen during the housebreaking, a Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed. “At around 1.55am on Wednesday March 6, police received a report of a break in at a property in Drymen Road, Bearsden,” the spokesperson said. “No one was injured in the incident but a number of items were stolen from the property.“An investigation is underway and enquiries are ongoing.”The items stolen are believed to include a majority of the medals Rodgers’ won during his tenure in Scotland, as well as various other personal effects from his office at Celtic’s training ground.Rodgers was in charge of the Hoops for just over two-and-a-half years, during which time he guided the Premiership club to seven trophies with domestic Trebles won in both of his two full seasons at Celtic Park. The former Swansea and Liverpool boss opted to return to English football last week after Leicester sacked Claude Puel. He took charge of his first Premier League match since October 2015 last Sunday, but suffered a losing return to England’s top flight as Watford triumphed 2-1 over Rodgers’ side at their Vicarage Road home.
